A graveside funeral ceremony honoring and remembering the life of Holly Ann Gustafson will be held 10 AM Friday, June 2, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Holly passed away unexpectedly Thursday, May 25, 2017 in Tulsa. She was 55 and employed by Wood Manor nursing home as a restorative aide.
Holly was born October 11, 1961 in Downey, California. She was very athletic, outgoing, and adventurous while growing up and loved sports of all types. Holly played softball competitively in school and graduated with the Artesia Class of 1979. She married the love of her life, Renny Gustafson on June 26, 1982 in her mother’s back yard in Bakersfield. The couple spent over 35 wonderful years together.
Grilling and smoking all types of meats became a favorite hobby of Holly’s, one in which she became quite accomplished. Holly loved everything about dolphins. Her family always remained the most important part of her life. She truly had a heart of gold and was known by all to be a faithful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Surviving family members include her husband Renny; her three sons: Shawn Gustafson and wife Autumn, Andy Gustafson and wife Megan, and Richard Chambers; her grandchildren: Christopher Gustafson and Andrew Wilcox; her brother Wes Hughes; and her sister Opal Wilson.
Holly was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Faye Hughes; and her brother Randy Hughes.
